I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
